Merchandising Manager - Garment (28 - 32K)

Garment Trading Company | US Market Focus

We are representing a reputable garment sourcing and manufacturing company seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager to lead and drive its merchandising operations, supporting continued business growth with key international clients, particularly in the US market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily merchandising activities, including product development, sampling, and order follow-up through production

  • Develop product and vendor strategies to support continuous business growth

  • Work closely with the Division Merchandising (DM) team to evaluate factory performance and assess business risks in support of clients’ needs

  • Coordinate with global teams and cross-functional partners to meet and exceed client expectations

  • Lead cost negotiations, drive cost savings, and manage costing margins to support clients’ long-term business growth

  • Manage and develop the merchandising team to ensure performance meets company standards and expectations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, and develop new suppliers through personal networks, trade fairs, and sourcing trips

  • Handle product, payment, and business term negotiations with suppliers

Requirements

  • Tertiary education or above

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership

  • Proven people management and process management capabilities

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Able to work independently, with excellent time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Strong communication skills; fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese

  • Experience working with the US market is a must
